Editor's take
Apple's iPhone 16 with the A18 chip and a 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR display, available here as an Amazon Renewed unit at a meaningful discount to buying new.
The iPhone 16 pairs the A18 chip with a 48MP main camera and a 12MP ultrawide, plus a bright 6.1-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display supporting HDR10 and Dolby Vision. It remains one of the most capable mainstream iPhones, and buying it Renewed rather than new is a straightforward way to save a meaningful amount while getting the same hardware.
This listing carries a 90-day Amazon warranty rather than Apple's standard coverage, typical for Renewed electronics, and buyers should expect the light cosmetic wear normal for a refurbished device. With over 2,600 reviews and a 4.0-star average, it has by far the largest review base of any phone in this catalog, giving a reasonably reliable picture of what to expect from Renewed condition.
Pros
- Significant savings versus buying new
- Same A18 chip and camera system as a new iPhone 16
- Very large review base for gauging Renewed condition reliability
Cons
- Only a 90-day Amazon warranty, shorter than Apple's standard coverage
- Cosmetic condition varies as with any refurbished device
- 4.0-star average is lower than most other phones in this catalog
Ideal for: iPhone buyers who want current-generation hardware at a lower price and are comfortable with Renewed condition.
Reviews
Over 2,600 reviews at 4.0 stars — the largest review base in this catalog, though slightly more mixed than new-condition listings.
